The water bath Medtec MT-RH-1500 is a high-capacity digital thermoplastic water bath designed for clinical radiotherapy departments. This water bath is engineered to soften and prepare thermoplastic immobilisation masks and positioning devices used in head, neck and shoulder treatments.

Previously branded under CIVCO and now associated with CQ Medical systems, the MT-RH-1500 water bath provides consistent thermal control and a large shallow tank configuration. As a result, it accommodates a wide range of thermoplastic sheets and immobilisation hardware used in modern oncology workflows.

Water Bath Design and Clinical Application

The Medtec MT-RH-1500 water bath features a spacious shallow tank, allowing uniform heating of larger thermoplastic masks without folding or distortion. This design supports efficient preparation of Type-S, HipFix and ThermFix systems.

 A digital temperature controller with clear readout enables precise adjustment of the heating set point. Clinicians can enter set point mode using the UP and DOWN arrow pads, ensuring controlled softening of materials before patient application.

For optimal performance, the water bath should be allowed sufficient stabilisation time prior to clinical use. This ensures temperature consistency across the tank and supports predictable thermoplastic handling.
