Draeger Isolette 8000 Neonatal Incubator
The Incubator Draeger Isolette 8000 is a neonatal intensive care incubator designed to provide a stable, thermo-neutral microenvironment for premature and critically ill infants. This incubator continuously monitors air and skin temperatures to maintain optimal thermoregulation within the neonatal intensive care unit.
Engineered for advanced NICU environments, the Incubator Draeger Isolette 8000 supports precise temperature and humidity control. It combines ergonomic design, infection control innovations and reliable performance to assist clinicians in delivering consistent neonatal care.
Advanced Thermoregulation in the Incubator Draeger Isolette 8000
The Isolette 8000 utilises Dräger’s advanced PID algorithm to regulate heat delivery with high precision. Low velocity airflow reduces convective heat loss, creating a calm zone around the infant.
Dual air curtains and pre-emptive regulation mechanisms maintain environmental stability during access. In addition, precise humidity control helps reduce transepidermal water loss and supports fragile neonates.
The incubator provides continuous monitoring of air temperature, dual skin temperatures, oxygen concentration and heater output. Trend data over 24 hours and extended weight trends further support clinical decision-making.
Infection Control and Clinical Practicality
The integrated Condensation Management System isolates condensate from the clean humidity reservoir. This design enhances infection control within the NICU.
The humidification system can be sterilised between patients. A 1.6-litre front-accessible reservoir allows convenient refilling without disturbing the neonate.
Separate grommets for ventilation circuits secure tubing while simplifying cleaning. The compact footprint and smooth trolley assembly allow manoeuvrability in congested clinical environments.
Ergonomic Design and Patient Access
The Isolette 8000 features height adjustment and ergonomic controls to support caregiver comfort during extended shifts. Mattress positioning allows Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg adjustments from 0 to 12 degrees.
Foot-actuated brakes and smooth vertical height control ensure stable and quiet positioning. Easy access panels allow clinicians to care for neonates while preserving environmental stability.
