Respironics CA-3200 Cough Assist
Respironics CA-3200 Cough Assist
The Respironics CA-3200 Cough Assist is a non-invasive airway clearance device designed for patients with an ineffective cough. It forms part of the J.H. Emerson CoughAssist MI-E range and is used in both hospital and home care settings for patients with neuromuscular and respiratory conditions.
By simulating a natural cough through mechanical insufflation and exsufflation, the CA-3200 supports airway hygiene and helps reduce secretion retention.
The CA-3200 works by applying positive pressure to inflate the lungs followed by a rapid shift to negative pressure, generating a high expiratory flow that mobilises bronchial secretions. Therapy can be delivered via mask, mouthpiece, or tracheostomy connection. Both automatic and manual modes allow clinicians to tailor treatment precisely.
