Alvera AquaPure 11 Humidifier Water Chamber for AirSense 11 and AirCurve 11 Machines
The water chamber is the part of a humidified setup that holds standing water, heats every night, and is handled twice a day. It is a consumable, not a permanent fitting, and it is the component whose condition most directly affects how well humidification works. A chamber that has clouded, scaled or developed a tired seal delivers less moisture than it did when new and leaks around the base plate as it ages. Because the decline is gradual, most wearers turn the humidity setting up rather than change the chamber, which masks the problem instead of fixing it. AquaPure 11 is a compatible chamber for the Air 11 platform, covering AirSense 11 and AirSense 11 Elite and AirCurve 11 machines.
Distilled water only, and fill to the line
- Fill with distilled water only. Tap water leaves mineral scale that clouds the chamber, coats the heating plate and reduces humidifier output within weeks. Bottled and filtered water are not substitutes.
- Do not fill above the maximum fill line. Overfilling allows water into the air path and down the hose toward the mask.
- Fill the chamber away from the machine, and never fill it while it is seated in the device.
- Do not move a machine with water in the chamber, and empty it before travel or storage.
- Do not use additives, scented oils, essential oils or cleaning products of any kind in the water. Anything added to the water is inhaled.
- Confirm the chamber seats fully and the seal is intact before use. A chamber that does not seat properly leaks air as well as water.
When a chamber needs renewing
Water chambers do not fail suddenly. They degrade, and the symptoms get attributed to something else.
Clouding and scale. A chamber that has gone milky, or that has a white film on the base plate, is transferring heat less efficiently than a clear one. The heater works harder and delivers less humidity for the same setting.
A tired seal. The seal around the lid and the base compresses over months of daily handling. Once it stops sealing cleanly the chamber leaks air, which the machine reads as circuit leak, and it can leak water onto the bedside table.
Cracking and crazing. Fine cracks appear around the fill line and the corners first, usually from thermal cycling and from being washed too hot. A cracked chamber must come out of service.
Rising humidity settings. If the setting that used to be comfortable no longer is, and the tubing and mask are unchanged, the chamber is usually the reason.

Check the machine before ordering
This chamber fits Air 11 platform machines: AirSense 11 and AirSense 11 Elite and AirCurve 11 devices, which share the same humidifier bay. It does not fit AirSense 10, AirCurve 10, Lumis or S9 machines, all of which take a different chamber, and it does not fit AirMini machines, which use waterless humidification and have no chamber at all. The machine model is printed on the underside of the device. Air 10 platform owners need AquaPure 10, REF 56010.

Returns
