£999.99
This item
The Ferno Megasus Ambulance Stretcher is a premium bariatric ambulance stretcher engineered for maximum safety, comfort, and functionality in demanding emergency and patient transfer environments. Designed for ambulances equipped with tail-lifts or ramps, this stretcher builds on the proven Pegasus design, featuring width-extending cotsides that offer additional support for larger patients without compromising on maneuverability or operator control.

With a load capacity of up to 400 kg, the Megasus is ideal for bariatric and specialist transfers, reducing the need for specialist vehicles and ensuring dignified, secure transportation for all patients. Its hydraulic height adjustment, anti-bacterial pressure-relief mattress, and Silver Biosafe harness restraints deliver exceptional patient care while protecting healthcare staff from strain injuries during lifting and handling.
Tested and certified to EN 1789 for ambulance use, the Ferno Megasus represents the next generation of heavy-duty ambulance stretchers that combine ergonomics, hygiene, and safety in a single reliable system.
Bariatric Design: Supports patients up to 400 kg (63 stone / 882 lbs) in lowered position.
Adjustable Width: Extendable cotsides and sidepads for greater patient surface area.
Hydraulic Lift System: Smooth manual up/down lift operation for ergonomic handling.
Enhanced Maneuverability: Low-friction wheels and extendable push/pull handles ensure easy movement.
Infection Control: IPC-compliant with antimicrobial paint finish and Silver Biosafe harness.
Premium Comfort: Includes anti-bacterial pressure-relief (ABPR) mattress and wider backrest.
Safety Features: Reflective strips, removable headrest, and secure restraint system.
