Alvera AirLink 360 Swivel Elbow for AirFit F20, AirTouch F20 and AirFit F30 Masks Single Pack
Alvera AirLink 360 Swivel Elbow for AirFit F20, AirTouch F20 and AirFit F30 Masks
The Alvera AirLink 360 is a compatible elbow connector for F20 and F30 full face masks, supplied as a single unit. The elbow is the joint between mask frame and tubing, and it is the part that decides whether the hose follows the wearer or fights them. Full 360 degree rotation lets the tube swing freely as the head turns, so a side sleeper rolling over does not drag the cushion off the seal. It is also a genuine consumable rather than a permanent fitting: the elbow carries the vent that clears exhaled air, the quick-release clip that holds it to the frame, and a swivel that wears with several thousand rotations a year. A worn or clouded elbow is a common and easily missed cause of leak and noise.

Vent safety, read before use
- The elbow carries the vent holes that continuously clear exhaled air from the mask. These holes must never be blocked, taped, covered or cleaned with anything that could lodge inside them.
- A blocked vent allows exhaled carbon dioxide to build up in the mask and be rebreathed. Check that air flows from the vent before every use.
- Do not use the elbow if a vent hole is obstructed, if the swivel is stiff or cracked, or if the clip no longer holds the elbow firmly to the frame.
- The mask must be removed if the therapy machine stops, since airflow through the vent is what clears the exhaled air.
- Fit only to a mask frame the elbow seats and locks into correctly. A loose fit leaks and can detach overnight.
Why the elbow matters
Most mask problems get blamed on the cushion. In practice a large share of them start at the elbow, because it is the one component under continuous mechanical load. Every time the wearer turns over, the tube twists and the swivel takes the movement. Over months the swivel loosens, the seal at the frame joint develops play, and the mask begins to leak and whistle in positions that used to be fine.
A 360 degree elbow reduces that load in the first place. Where a limited-rotation elbow reaches its stop and starts transmitting the tube's weight into the mask, a fully rotating elbow keeps turning and the cushion stays where it was set. That matters most for side sleepers, for anyone who runs the hose over the headboard, and for wearers on higher pressures where a small break in the seal becomes an audible jet.
Key features
Check the mask before ordering
This elbow fits AirFit F20, AirTouch F20 and AirFit F30 full face masks. The F20 and F30 frames take different cushions and are not interchangeable with each other in every respect, but both accept this elbow. It does not fit F30i or F40 masks, nasal or pillow masks, or AirMini setups, all of which use different connections. The mask model is printed on the frame or the headgear clip. Where the model is not certain, ask before ordering.

Alvera range
Alvera is the own-brand accessory range from Elarix Medical, covering the consumables that sleep therapy depends on and that need renewing on a schedule. AirLink covers connectors and adapters, alongside PureFlow filters, ThermaAir heated tubing, AirFlex tubing, AquaPure water chambers, AirSoft cushions and PureWipe cleaning wipes. Products are individually referenced and barcoded, so a repeat order is placed against a code rather than a description.
