This Thorpe Mill pressure care foam cushion is the foam inner component designed for use within a sequential pressure care cushion system. It is supplied new and is intended for use in hospital bed, hospital trolley and patient trolley applications where pressure area management is a clinical requirement.
This item is supplied new. Pre-dispatch checks include:
These are in-house checks only. A full engineer service is not applicable to a foam consumable. Commissioning and verification within a clinical system remain with the operating organisation.
This foam inner is designed as a replacement or spare component for a compatible sequential pressure care cushion. It is not a standalone pressure relief device. Check before ordering that the foam dimensions and specification match your existing sequential cushion assembly. Ask before ordering if you are uncertain whether this inner is correct for your system.
Pressure care foam cushions are used as part of pressure area management protocols in ward, theatre and patient transport settings. The foam inner within a sequential cushion system provides the structural support layer beneath the sequential cell or cover component. High-density foam is commonly specified in these systems to maintain consistent support as cell pressure cycles.
This item is a consumable foam component. Its suitability for a specific patient must be determined by a competent clinician in accordance with local pressure care protocols and any relevant manufacturer instructions. The manufacturer instructions take precedence over any general guidance given here.
