Linet Multicare ICU Hospital Bed, Pre-Owned, with Lateral Tilt, Controller and Mattress
The Linet Multicare is an intensive care bed built for critical care and high dependency environments. Its defining feature is lateral tilt, a controlled side to side movement of the mattress platform of up to 15 degrees each way, which turns the patient without the crew taking the load. That single function supports pulmonary therapy, pressure redistribution and repositioning in patients who cannot be turned manually. Full electric profiling covers backrest, knee break, height and Trendelenburg. Safe working load is 250 kg. This unit is pre-owned and is supplied with the controller and a compatible mattress.

These are in-house workshop checks. Damaged or non-working items are not dispatched. A full engineer service and calibration is not included unless this listing states that the unit has been serviced. Planned maintenance and periodic electrical safety testing remain with the operating organisation once the bed is in service.
Lateral tilt and positioning
Lateral tilt moves the mattress platform through roughly 15 degrees to either side under powered control. In practice it takes the effort out of turning a heavy or unstable ICU patient, and it makes postural drainage, back care and linen changes a job for fewer hands. It is also the route to pressure injury prevention in patients who cannot tolerate a manual turn, where even a small change of angle matters.
Backrest elevation includes auto-regression, so the deck sections shift as the backrest rises rather than dragging the patient up the bed. That reduces shear at the sacrum and limits abdominal compression, which is why the geometry matters as much as the surface in pressure care.

Configuration and variant
The Multicare shipped over several production years in a number of configurations, and figures given above are typical rather than unit specific. Features including CPR quick release, battery backup, a retractable fifth castor, integrated scales, bed exit alarm and foot controls were configuration dependent and are not confirmed as present on this unit. Where a specific function is essential, ask before ordering and the configuration and rating label will be checked. The bed is offered on the basis of the specification and photographs shown.
Siderails, mattress fit and entrapment risk
Bed rails only reduce risk when rail, frame and mattress are dimensionally compatible. A mattress outside the stated size range, or one deeper than 23 cm, reduces the effective rail height and opens gaps a patient can become trapped in. Check the effective rail height above the compressed mattress surface and check every gap against current national guidance on the safe use of bed rails, and reassess whenever the surface is changed, including any move to an active or overlay mattress. Bed rails are not appropriate for every patient and their use should follow an individual risk assessment.
Condition and history. A pre-owned unit from clinical service, cleaned and inspected. Cosmetic marking consistent with previous use should be expected. Ongoing maintenance should follow the operating organisation's planned maintenance schedule and the duties under PUWER 1998. The photographs form part of the description and show the actual condition of the item offered.
Delivery and access
- This is a large, heavy ICU bed measuring 215 x 105 cm. Measure every access point on the route before ordering, including external doors, internal doorways, corridor turns, stair widths and lift dimensions.
- Dimensions given are approximate and should be treated as a guide for access planning rather than exact figures.
- Delivery is to ground floor only and the bed is supplied fully assembled. It cannot be carried upstairs or dismantled for delivery.
- Two people should be available to receive the item, with a clear path from the delivery vehicle to the room.
- Return shipping is at the buyer's expense and any delivery fee paid is non-refundable.

Shipping
UK mainland: Orders placed Monday to Friday are dispatched within 2 working days from Leeds. Deliveries run Monday to Saturday, never Sunday.
UK mainland and islands: standard delivery takes 5-10 working days.
Europe, USA and Canada: delivery typically takes 10-21 working days.
Other international destinations: delivery usually takes 10- 21 working days.
Customs and duties
Orders shipped outside the United Kingdom may attract import duty and local tax, which are charged by the destination country and are the buyer's responsibility.
Returns
SelfiMed offers a 30-day change-of-mind return policy on eligible items. To request a return, please contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items returned under this policy must be in the same condition as received and suitable for resale.
Please note that brand new items must remain unopened, unused and in their original packaging to be eligible for return. Once a new item has been opened or used, it may no longer qualify for return as new, and any accepted return may be subject to restocking fees.
For hygiene reasons, opened CPAP masks, CPAP parts and CPAP accessories, including tubing, filters and humidifier chambers, cannot be returned.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Refund
Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the returned item reaches us and has been checked, normally within five working days.
Faulty items are refunded in full, including the delivery you paid.
