Drive DeVilbiss Hybseat Hybrid-Power Pressure Cushion

The Drive DeVilbiss Hybseat Hybrid-Power Cushion is a high-performance pressure area care seating surface designed for patients at high risk of pressure ulcer development. It combines two distinct pressure management approaches in a single product: castellated visco-elastic foam that continuously moulds to the body's contours for passive pressure redistribution, and four foam-filled alternating air cells that deliver dynamic 1-in-2 alternating therapy when the pump is active. This hybrid approach ensures effective pressure management both during powered therapy and in static mode when the pump is removed. The cushion operates in alternating mode during powered use and reverts to a fully functional high-spec foam cushion in static mode, eliminating any gap in protection. The pump unit features an auto-lock function, audible and visual fault alarms, a fault indicator display and a max-inflate function for initial setup. Suitable for use in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities and home care settings. User weight capacity is 190 kg.

Key Features

  • Hybrid foam and alternating therapy - castellated visco-elastic foam provides continuous passive pressure redistribution; four foam-filled alternating cells deliver dynamic 1-in-2 alternating therapy when powered
  • Dual operating modes - alternating therapy mode for active dynamic pressure relief; static mode allows the pump to be removed for use as a standalone high-spec foam cushion
  • 1-in-2 alternating cell cycle - AB alternating pattern with a 10-minute cycle time ensures regular pressure relief across the seating surface
  • Max inflate function - inflates cells to maximum level for optimal initial setup and performance
  • Auto-lock function - automatic locking mechanism prevents accidental setting changes during use
  • Fault indicator display - on-screen fault indicators allow quick identification and troubleshooting of system issues
  • Audible and visual fault alarms - immediate alerts when a system fault is detected
  • PU-coated Xtreme Fabric cover - welded seams and a 270-degree zip with a protective flap provide durability, fluid resistance and easy removal for cleaning
  • 190 kg user weight capacity - suitable for a wide range of patients at high risk
  • Certified to EN ISO 9001, EN ISO 13485 and EN ISO 14001 - manufactured to quality, medical device and environmental management standards
  • MHRA reportable device - serious incidents must be reported to Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare and the MHRA
