Two Section Manual Examination Couch, Fixed Height

A traditional two section examination couch on a painted tubular steel frame, with a manually adjustable backrest and a dark grey wipe clean top. It is fixed height and entirely manual: no pump, no actuator, no control and no mains lead.

That is the point of this pattern of couch. There is nothing on it to fail, nothing to service and nothing to electrically test, so it sits in a room and works. For a treatment room, a side room, a first aid room, an occupational health office, a clinic that needs a second couch, or a training setting, a manual couch does the same job as a powered one at a fraction of the cost and with none of the maintenance.

The top is in two sections. The long section is flat and takes the body and legs. The short head section lifts on a strut at the head end and holds its position, so a patient can be examined lying flat or sat up against the backrest. Adjustment is made by hand at the couch rather than from a control.

The cover is a dark grey wipe clean material over sealed foam, which is what allows the couch to be decontaminated between patients to local policy. Elarix Medical photographs the actual couch and states its condition in writing before dispatch.
