Homecraft Roylan Wax Bath
£99.99
This item
The Wax Bath range from Homecraft and Rolyan, both Performance Health brands, supports thermotherapy and rehabilitation treatment in clinical and therapy environments. While the term Wax Bath commonly refers to paraffin therapy units for joint and soft tissue care, Rolyan products are primarily designed as splint baths for heating thermoplastic materials used in orthotic fabrication.
It is important to distinguish between paraffin Wax Bath units used for heat therapy and splint baths intended for shaping splinting materials in rehabilitation settings.
A traditional Wax Bath is used for paraffin wax therapy to help relieve joint stiffness, support circulation, and assist in hand rehabilitation programmes.
Rolyan “bath” systems, however, are designed for controlled water heating of thermoplastic splinting materials. These units are widely used by occupational therapists and rehabilitation specialists when preparing custom orthoses.
Although both fall under thermotherapy equipment, their clinical purposes differ significantly.
This advanced splint bath features a 2.8-inch digital LED touch display for precise temperature control. It includes dual disinfection systems, combining UV-C germicidal light with a high-heat sanitation cycle.
The unit heats water to splinting temperature in under 30 minutes, supporting efficient workflow in busy therapy departments.
The standard model provides reliable heating performance with a stainless-steel hinged lid and thermoset insulated base for durability. It offers consistent temperature maintenance suitable for routine splint preparation.
