Arjo Tenor Bariatric Mobile Patient Hoist with Weighing Scale

This item
Arjo Huntleigh Maxi Move III Patient Hoist with Battery
£300.00
The Arjo Tenor is a heavy duty mobile floor lifter built for plus-size and bariatric transfers, with a safe working load of 320 kg. That capacity places it at the top of the mobile hoist range and is the reason services keep one on the ward rather than hiring in when a bariatric admission arrives. The curved jib clears the patient and allows full 360 degree rotation once lifted, and the four point bariatric spreader bar widens the gap between shoulder and leg hooks so the sling distributes load rather than squeezing. This unit carries the integrated suspended weighing scale, so a weight is captured during the transfer instead of becoming a separate procedure that often does not happen at all in bariatric care. Supplied with a pre-owned battery. Sling and charger are sold separately.

Mandatory before any use with a patient
Pre-owned battery, no charger supplied
The battery is pre-owned. Capacity in any sealed lead acid pack falls with age and cycle count, so the number of lifts available from a full charge cannot be stated for this unit and must be assessed once it is on charge. No charger is supplied, so a charger must be in place before the hoist can be brought into service. Where a bariatric caseload depends on the hoist being available at short notice, a fresh battery and a second pack on rotation are worth budgeting for. The battery is a sealed lead acid 24 V 4 Ah pack, part number NDA0100-20.
Weighing scale accuracy
The integrated scale is a measuring function on a pre-owned device and its accuracy has not been verified here. Before any weight from this hoist is used for a clinical decision, particularly weight-based drug dosing, the scale should be checked against a certified reference by a qualified engineer and then verified at the interval set by the operating organisation.
Checked before dispatch
These are in-house workshop checks. Damaged or non-working items are not dispatched. This item may require service and calibration. A full engineer service, load test, scale verification and thorough examination are not included unless this listing states that the unit has been serviced. Ongoing inspection and six monthly thorough examination remain with the operating organisation once the equipment is in service.

The above is general guidance. The manufacturer instructions for use and the operating organisation's moving and handling policy take precedence. Any hoist showing damage or a fault should be taken out of service until it has been inspected and repaired.
