Emergency Evacuation Stair Chair with Rubber Track System
£299.99
This item
This emergency evacuation stair chair is designed to safely transport injured, mobility-impaired or non-ambulatory individuals down staircases during fire evacuations and building emergencies. A continuous rubber track system mounted along the rear of the frame replaces the need to lift or bump the passenger down individual steps — the tracks glide smoothly across step edges using controlled friction, enabling a steady, stable descent with minimal jarring. A single trained operator can guide the chair from the rear using the telescoping upper push handle, with secondary lower handles near the footrest allowing a second operator to assist with descent control or obstacle navigation. An integrated quick-release safety harness secures the passenger firmly in the seat during the sharply angled stair descent. Red front wheels provide smooth flat-surface transport to and from the staircase. The chair folds compactly for wall mounting or cupboard storage when not in use. Yellow high-visibility upholstery and frame with black aluminium chassis.
