1) Delivery Options (UK & International)
Global Shipping: We offer worldwide shipping with reputable national and international carriers. Every parcel includes online tracking. Service level and price are shown at checkout based on weight, dimensions, contents, and destination.
- UK Services: Royal Mail, DPD, UPS, DHL and other reliable networks (Standard, Expedited, Next-Day options where available).
- International Services: Express and economy options depending on destination and item class (medical devices may require specific carriers).

2) Processing & Dispatch Times
Orders placed Monday–Friday before 12:00 noon (UK time) usually dispatch the same day. Orders after this cut-off, weekends, and UK public holidays dispatch the next working day.
- Stocked Items: Prepared and dispatched promptly after payment verification.
- Bulk/Fragile Items: May require an extra working day for packaging and carrier coordination.

3) Tracking & Delivery Windows
Tracking details are emailed once your parcel is handed to the carrier. Delivery windows depend on your chosen service and destination.
- UK: Standard 2–3 working days; Next-Day available to most postcodes (order before noon).
- Europe & North America: Typically 3–5 working days for express; economy options available.
- Rest of World: Typically 5–10 working days for express; timing varies with customs clearance.
Signature on Delivery: Some shipments require a signature. If undeliverable, the carrier will leave a card or attempt redelivery/collection.

4) Click & Collect (Leeds, LS12 4HP)
Personal Collection: You may collect your order from our Leeds site by appointment. Please contact us to schedule a time so we can prepare your item and paperwork.

5) Customs, Duties & Taxes (International Orders)
From 09/01/2026, SelfiMed has implemented new tax and duties rules for international buyers. All applicable taxes and duties are calculated and fully paid at checkout. No additional customs payment is required on delivery.

The buyer is responsible for all applicable taxes and duties, which are calculated and fully paid at checkout. No additional customs payments are required on delivery.
Delivery terms:
Orders are shipped on a fully landed cost basis. This means import duties and taxes are included in your checkout total. There are no surprise charges on arrival.
Customs clearance:
Your shipment may still pass through local customs for routine administrative clearance. This is a standard procedure and does not require further payment.
Documentation provided by us:
We provide a commercial invoice and packing list with every shipment. Any permits, licences, or prescriptions required by your local authority remain the responsibility of the buyer.
Customs checks and KYC:
Local customs authorities may request identification, tax numbers such as EORI or VAT, or additional documentation to clear medical equipment. This is a regulatory requirement and outside of our control.
If customs refuse entry:
Customers are responsible for ensuring that medical items are permitted for import into their country. If a shipment is refused due to local regulations or medical device restrictions:
Returned to Sender:
If the parcel is returned to us in good, resalable condition, we will refund the product price only. Original shipping, return freight, customs handling and carrier fees are non-refundable and may be deducted.
Seized or Disposed by Customs:
If customs seize, abandon or destroy the parcel, no refund can be issued.
Returns across borders:
If you return goods internationally after delivery, any import taxes or duties already paid are subject to your local authority refund process. This varies by country and must be handled directly with your customs office. We can provide proof of export or return where available.

6) Delivery Timelines & Tracking
Typical timelines: UK Standard 2–3 working days from dispatch; UK Next-Day for orders before noon; International Express usually 3–5 working days. Customs clearance or remote areas can extend delivery. You will receive a tracking link by email as soon as your parcel is dispatched.

7) Refused / Unclaimed / Customs-Unpaid Shipments
From 09/01/2026, SelfiMed has implemented new tax and duties rules for international buyers. All applicable taxes and duties are calculated and fully paid at checkout. No additional customs payment is required on delivery.
If you refuse delivery or fail to cooperate with local customs clearance, the carrier may return the parcel to us. International returns can take up to three months. Once received back in good, resalable condition, we will refund the product price only. Original shipping and any carrier return, handling, or storage fees are non-refundable and may be deducted from your refund.
As all applicable taxes and duties are paid upfront at checkout, no customs payment is required on delivery. However, customers remain responsible for ensuring that the medical item is permitted for import into their country.
If a shipment is refused entry by customs due to local import regulations, medical device restrictions, or regulatory controls, SelfiMed cannot intervene or override the decision of local authorities.
If customs refuse entry and return the parcel to us, the refund policy above applies.
If customs seize, abandon, or destroy the parcel, no refund can be issued.

8) Damage, Loss & Insurance
Please inspect your parcel on arrival. If damaged, notify us within 7 days with photos of the packaging and product so we can raise a carrier claim and arrange a replacement or refund where applicable.
- Loss / Non-Delivery: Report missing shipments promptly. We will investigate with the carrier and keep you updated.
- Insurance: High-value medical equipment may be shipped with enhanced insurance and signature confirmation.

9) Address Accuracy & Restricted Destinations
Ensure your delivery address, contact number, and email are accurate. We cannot reroute parcels once in transit. Some destinations or addresses (e.g., PO Boxes, military bases, sanctioned regions) may be restricted for medical devices or certain carriers.

- Remote Areas: Transit may take longer; surcharges may apply (shown at checkout where possible).
