The BD Alaris neXus CC is a precision syringe pump designed for the safe and accurate controlled delivery of fluids, medications, parenteral nutrition and blood products to adult, paediatric and neonatal patients across all major clinical settings. Compatible with 5 ml to 50 ml Luer lock syringes, it offers a wide range of programmable infusion modes including flow rate, volume over time, dose calculation and preconfigured medication protocols. The neXus CC's defining capability is its online pressure monitoring system, which uses SMART technology to automatically detect whether a pressure sensing disc extension set or a standard set is in use, enabling early occlusion detection and minimising the risk of post-occlusion bolus. Guardrails safety limits provide automatic hard and soft alerts when institution-defined thresholds are exceeded, without requiring a permanent network connection.
