Where the Gynae 3 sits in the range
The Fusion Gynae range shares one frame, a 45 to 98 cm height range and a 225 kg user weight limit across every version, and the models differ only in how much of the movement is powered. The entry configuration pairs electric height with a gas assisted back and no seat tilt. The middle configuration adds the 15 degree electric tilting seat. The Gynae 3 offered here is the top configuration, with electric height, a powered back section and the powered tilting seat, so every adjustment is made from the handset rather than by hand.
Positioning and patient safety
- Lithotomy positioning carries a recognised risk of nerve injury and compartment syndrome when a patient is held in position for extended periods. Time in stirrups should be kept to the minimum needed, with the legs raised and lowered together.
- Leg supports and stirrups must be checked as securely locked before the patient is positioned, and the height set so the clinician is not lifting against the couch.
- The couch is not designed to be used as a hoist attachment point and should not be moved with a patient on it.
Delivery and access
- The couch measures 137 cm long by 65 cm wide and is heavy. Measure every access point on the route before ordering, including external doors, internal doorways, corridor turns, stair widths and lift dimensions.
- Dimensions given are approximate and should be treated as a guide for access planning rather than exact figures.
- Delivery is to ground floor only and the couch is supplied fully assembled. It cannot be carried upstairs or dismantled for delivery.
- Two people should be available to receive the item, with a clear path from the delivery vehicle to the room.
