ResMed AirMini Auto Travel CPAP Bundle with F20 Full Face Mask
ResMed AirMini AutoSet Travel CPAP Bundle with F20 Full Face Mask
The ResMed AirMini AutoSet is the smallest CPAP machine on the market, roughly the size of a glasses case at 299 g, and it exists to solve one problem: therapy that survives travel. A full size machine means a second bag, a hunt for a socket behind a hotel bed, and a decision every trip about whether to bother. The AirMini removes that decision. It fits in hand luggage, it runs the same AutoSet and AutoSet for Her algorithms found on bedside machines, and waterless humidification means no water chamber to fill, drain or spill in transit. This bundle pairs it with a full face F20 mask and the F20 setup kit needed to connect the two.

Why the AirMini works as a travel machine
Three design decisions make the difference, and they are all trade-offs the machine makes deliberately.
No water chamber. Humidification comes from a heat and moisture exchange cartridge that captures moisture from exhaled breath and returns it on the next inhalation. No water, no power draw for a heater, no chamber to empty before a flight, and nothing to spill in a bag. The cartridge is a consumable and needs renewing on a schedule.
No screen. The device has two buttons, on and off plus Bluetooth, and everything else happens in the app: pressure comfort settings, ramp, mask fit check and therapy data. That removes the display, its housing and its power draw, which is a meaningful share of a bedside machine's bulk. It also means the phone is part of the setup rather than an optional extra.
Proprietary narrow tubing. A 15 mm slimline tube and a mask-specific adapter replace the standard 22 mm hose. That is what allows the machine to be this small, and it is also why the setup kit matters so much: the circuit only works as a matched set.
Key Features
- 299 g and palm sized - roughly the footprint of a glasses case, so it travels in hand luggage rather than needing its own bag
- AutoSet and AutoSet for Her algorithms - the same automatic pressure algorithms used on bedside machines, switchable in the app
- Fixed pressure mode - available alongside the two automatic modes for wearers on a set pressure
- Waterless HumidX humidification - heat and moisture exchange, no water and no power required, so nothing to fill or drain in transit
- Auto Start and Auto Stop - therapy begins when the mask is put on and stops when it is removed
- App control and therapy data - settings, comfort options, mask fit check and nightly reports on a phone over Bluetooth, with clinician access through AirView
- Approved for in-flight use - usable on board aircraft, subject to the airline's own procedure, which is worth confirming before a long haul flight
- Two button operation - power and Bluetooth, with everything else handled in the app
- Full face F20 mask included - suited to mouth breathers and to anyone congested, with the setup kit that connects it

Care and Renewal
- Mask cushion - clean daily following the instructions supplied with the mask, since cleaning requirements differ between silicone and foam cushions
- Headgear - hand wash weekly and air dry, checking for stretched straps
- Tubing - wash weekly in warm soapy water, rinse and hang to dry away from direct sunlight
- HumidX cartridge - a consumable with a limited service life, renewed on the schedule in the instructions and sooner if performance drops
- Machine filter - fit a fresh filter at the stated interval, or sooner if visibly soiled
- Device - wipe with a damp cloth, disconnected from the mains, and never immerse it
The above is general guidance for a single user. The instructions supplied with the device and the mask take precedence.
