Welch Allyn Connex Spot Monitor 75ME with 7000-APM Accessory Power Management Rollstand, Pre-owned
This is a Welch Allyn Connex Spot Monitor in the 75ME configuration, mounted on the Welch Allyn 7000-APM Accessory Power Management rollstand. The Connex Spot Monitor is the spot check vital signs device built for the ward round, the outpatient clinic and the admissions bay: blood pressure, pulse oximetry and temperature taken in one pass on a colour touchscreen, with early warning score prompting and a route into the electronic record rather than a figure written on paper and typed in later.
Model 75ME decodes to a monitor with wireless connectivity built in, Masimo pulse oximetry and Braun ThermoScan PRO 6000 ear thermometry, over Welch Allyn SureBP non invasive blood pressure. SureBP takes the reading on inflation rather than deflation, which is why a determination typically completes in about 15 seconds instead of the half minute a conventional oscillometric cycle needs. On a clinic list of thirty patients that difference is the whole appointment overhead.
The 7000-APM stand is more than a trolley. It carries a nine cell battery assembly that extends monitor running time to around 17 hours against the 12 hours the monitor manages on its own two cell pack, and it holds accessory bins for cuffs, sensors and probe covers so the consumables travel with the monitor. For a device that is wheeled between bays all day, the stand is what stops it being tethered to a socket and what stops the cuffs being left behind in the last room.
The monitor itself is compact at 234 mm wide, 161 mm high and 58 mm deep and weighs 1.3 kg, so it lifts off the stand for a bedside reading where the trolley cannot get in, then goes back on charge. This unit is supplied pre-owned and working as a set: the monitor, the 7000-APM rollstand, the Braun thermometer handset, the Masimo pulse oximetry sensor and cable, and the blood pressure cuff and hose. That means it can be put to work on arrival once it has been safety tested, rather than waiting on an accessory order.

Points to note before ordering
- Spot check, not continuous monitoring. The Connex Spot Monitor takes episodic readings. It is not a continuous bedside monitor and has no ECG, no respiration trace and no capnography.
- Probe covers and cuff sizes. The Braun handset, the SpO2 sensor and one blood pressure cuff are included. Braun probe covers are consumable and are not, and only the cuff size supplied is included.
- Batteries. Both the monitor pack and the APM nine cell assembly are pre-owned lithium ion and hold less than new. Elarix Medical will state the charge each holds before dispatch.
- Pre-owned condition. To be electrically safety tested, function checked and the blood pressure channel verified against a calibrated reference before clinical use. Elarix Medical will photograph the actual unit on request.
