These are in-house workshop checks. Damaged or non-working items are not dispatched. A full engineer service and calibration is not included unless this listing states the unit has been serviced. Planned maintenance and periodic electrical safety testing remain with the operating organisation.
A critical care chair with a tilt-in-space function allows clinical staff to adjust the patient's seated posture without a full transfer. This reduces manual handling risk and supports pressure relief, postural management and comfort for patients who cannot reposition themselves independently. The SIGMA 250 designation indicates the model variant within the Autotilt range. Confirm the safe working load against the patient's weight before use.
This item is subject to the requirements of PUWER 1998 (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations). The operating organisation is responsible for ensuring the chair is suitable for its intended use, maintained in a safe condition and that staff are adequately trained. These obligations are not transferred by purchase.
If the chair is used as a work aid or forms part of a patient handling system, the operating organisation must assess its suitability under their manual handling protocol. The manufacturer instructions take precedence over any general guidance given in this listing.
Decontaminate the chair in accordance with the organisation's infection prevention and control protocol before first use in a clinical environment. Confirm that the cleaning agents used are compatible with the upholstery and materials. Ask the manufacturer if this information is not available from the supplied documentation.
Seating inserts, pressure-relieving cushions and postural support accessories are not included and are available separately. Specify the patient's clinical and postural requirements before selecting accessories. Compatibility with third-party accessories is not confirmed by Elarix. Ask before ordering if you require a specific configuration.
Orders shipped outside the United Kingdom may attract import duty and local tax, which are charged by the destination country and are the buyer's responsibility.
