The ALVERA PureFlow 10 Filter is a consumable air filtration component designed for use with compatible CPAP and respiratory therapy devices. This article explains what the filter is, how it works, when to replace it and what to check before ordering.
An air filter sits at the inlet of a CPAP or similar respiratory device. Its role is straightforward: it captures particulate matter from the ambient air before that air enters the device and is delivered to the user throughout the night.
The ALVERA PureFlow 10 Filter is a single-use consumable. It is not a reusable component and is not designed to be washed and reinstalled.
The filter occupies the inlet port of a compatible device. Air drawn into the device passes through the filter first, before reaching the motor, pressure system or humidification stage. This placement protects internal components and keeps the delivered airflow clean.
The filter does not alter therapy pressure, breathing patterns or any clinical parameter set by the prescribing clinician. It is a mechanical filtration component only. It does not function as a bacterial or viral filter unless the product specification explicitly states that grade of filtration.

The ALVERA PureFlow 10 Filter is designed for use with ALVERA-branded devices where a filter of this specification is required. Compatibility with third-party devices is not guaranteed. Check the inlet port dimensions and the manufacturer instructions for your device before ordering.
The filter is sold separately from the device, tubing, heated tubing, water chamber, interface, cushion, headgear and any other therapy components. None of those items are included unless this listing states otherwise.
If you are uncertain whether the ALVERA PureFlow 10 Filter is compatible with your specific device model, ask before ordering. Returning a consumable that has been removed from its packaging may not be possible under standard return terms.
This filter is a single-use consumable. It should be replaced according to the schedule in the device manufacturer instructions, not washed, dried and reinstalled. Using a filter beyond its rated life can reduce filtration efficiency and increase resistance at the inlet.
Most device manufacturers recommend replacing the inlet filter at a set interval, commonly every one to three months for standard foam filters, or more frequently in dusty or high-particulate environments. The manufacturer instructions for your specific device take precedence over any general guidance given here.
Routine filter replacement is the responsibility of the operating organisation or the individual user, as set out in their clinical or home-use protocol. This is not covered by an in-house workshop check on the device itself.
The listing covers the ALVERA PureFlow 10 Filter as a consumable component. The filter is supplied new. Photographs form part of the description where provided.
The following items are not included and are available separately:
