The RLDG0510 is Labcold's 150 litre under counter pharmacy and vaccine refrigerator with a glass door, built around the IntelliCold controller and holding 2 to 8 degrees Celsius at a nominal 5. It carries the full alarm set, thirteen months of temperature data, three adjustable shelves and a key lock, in a cabinet sized to sit under a standard worktop.

The glass door is the decision to make on this cabinet, and it cuts both ways. Every time a pharmacy fridge is opened the temperature inside rises, and in a busy dispensary the commonest reason for opening one is simply to see what is in it. A glass door removes that reason: stock is counted, rotated and checked at a glance without breaking the seal, which over a working week is a real reduction in excursions. Against that, a glass door admits light and insulates slightly less well than a solid one. Where light sensitive products are stored outside their cartons, or where the cabinet sits in direct sun, the solid door version of this fridge is the one to order instead.

The cabinet is enamelled steel outside with a painted corrosion resistant aluminium interior, fan assisted so the air is moved rather than left to stratify, and set to defrost off cycle so there is no heater pushing the chamber warm. There is an internal light switchable from outside, an access port in the door for an independent probe lead, and a lock with two keys. Points to note before ordering

Glass door against solid door. A glass door reduces door openings because stock can be seen, but admits light and insulates slightly less. Where light sensitive products are held outside their cartons, or the cabinet sits in sunlight, the solid door RLDF version of this fridge is the better choice and is quoted on request.
This is a pharmacy refrigerator, not a blood refrigerator. It holds 2 to 8 degrees Celsius for vaccines and temperature sensitive medicines. Blood for transfusion is stored at 4 degrees Celsius plus or minus 2 in an approved blood refrigerator with a temperature recorder and alarm, which is a different cabinet.
