The ResMed ClimateLineAir 11 is a heated humidifier tube designed for use with AirSense 11 series devices. It works in conjunction with the integrated humidifier to maintain consistent warmth and humidity throughout the night, reducing the likelihood of rainout and improving comfort at the interface. Understanding how to set it up correctly, maintain it and pair it with compatible components will help you get reliable, consistent performance from nightly therapy.
Unlike standard tubing, the ClimateLineAir 11 contains a heating element running the length of the tube. This element warms air as it travels from the device to the mask interface, helping to maintain the target temperature and humidity level set on the AirSense 11 device. Without heated tubing, cooler ambient temperatures can cause moisture to condense inside the tube before it reaches the user, a problem commonly called rainout.
When paired with an AirSense 11 device running Climate Control Auto mode, the device adjusts tube temperature and humidifier output automatically in response to ambient conditions and breathing patterns. This removes the need for manual adjustment each night. Manual mode is also available for users who prefer fixed settings, which may suit those in environments with stable ambient temperature.
The ClimateLineAir 11 connects via a dedicated port on the AirSense 11 device. This connection allows the device to control the tube's heating element directly. Standard 22 mm tubing does not use this port and will not receive active temperature control, so the two tube types are not interchangeable without changing the device settings accordingly.

Route the tube so it does not hang below the sleep surface, as pooling of condensation is more likely when sections of tubing are lower than the humidifier outlet. Many users route the tube under the pillow or along the side of the bed to keep it at a broadly consistent height. The tube is 1.8 metres long, which suits most bedside configurations without requiring an extension.
Start with Climate Control Auto enabled and adjust only if discomfort persists. If you experience dryness at the interface or cushion, increase the humidity setting incrementally. If you notice any moisture at the mask or within the tube, reduce the tube temperature setting by one step before adjusting humidifier output. Making one change at a time makes it easier to identify the cause of the problem.
The ClimateLineAir 11 connects directly to ResMed masks using a standard 22 mm cuff at the mask end. It is compatible with the full range of current AirFit and AirTouch masks. Confirm compatibility with any third-party interface before ordering, as not all masks from other manufacturers seal equally well at this connection point.
The manufacturer recommends the following minimum care routine:
The ClimateLineAir 11 works in combination with the water chamber fitted to the AirSense 11 humidifier tub. The water chamber is a separate consumable and is not included with the tube. Use only distilled or deionised water in the chamber. Tap water leaves mineral deposits that shorten the life of the chamber and may affect humidifier output over time. The water chamber should be replaced according to the manufacturer's schedule, typically every six months, or sooner if deposits or discolouration are visible.
ResMed classifies the ClimateLineAir 11 as a consumable. The recommended replacement interval is every three months under normal nightly use. Continuing to use a tube beyond this point may result in reduced heating performance or degraded tubing material. Replacement tubes are available separately. Check your device's compliance data or consult your prescribing clinician to confirm the schedule applicable to your therapy plan.
The ClimateLineAir 11 is designed specifically for the AirSense 11 platform, which includes the AirSense 11 AutoSet, AirSense 11 AutoSet for Her and AirSense 11 CPAP. It is not compatible with AirSense 10 series devices, which use the ClimateLineAir (without the 11 suffix). The connectors differ between generations. Fitting the wrong tube to a device will result in no active heating and no auto-humidity control.
The ResMed part number for the standard ClimateLineAir 11 is 37366. Confirm this number against the tube packaging or the device documentation before ordering, particularly when purchasing from a third-party supplier, to ensure you receive the correct generation of tube.
The following items are sold separately and are not supplied with the ClimateLineAir 11 tube alone:
If you are building a complete therapy setup, confirm which components you already hold before ordering to avoid duplication.
The ResMed ClimateLineAir 11 is a consumable heated tube intended for nightly use with AirSense 11 series devices. Correct setup, appropriate humidity and temperature settings, and a regular weekly cleaning routine all contribute to consistent performance and a longer service life. The tube is not compatible with AirSense 10 devices and should not be confused with the previous generation ClimateLineAir. Replace the tube every three months under normal use or sooner if physical damage is found. The water chamber, mask interface and air filter are all sold separately and must be sourced independently. If you are uncertain about any aspect of your therapy setup or prescribed settings, consult your clinician or the prescribing service before making changes.
