The examination couch Metron Hi/LO 2-Section Hydraulic Couch is a robust medical treatment couch designed for physiotherapy, examinations and general clinical procedures. This examination couch is engineered to provide excellent stability, high load capacity and smooth height adjustment, making it suitable for demanding healthcare environments such as hospitals, clinics and rehabilitation centres.

In addition, the examination couch features hydraulic height adjustment operated via foot pump pedals positioned on both sides of the frame. This allows practitioners to adjust the couch height easily without using their hands, supporting infection control and efficient workflow. The wide height range supports safe patient transfer at low level and comfortable working postures at higher positions.

The upholstery is designed for clinical hygiene and durability. Seamless, contoured vinyl upholstery is flame-retardant, anti-bacterial and resistant to body fluids and treatment creams, ensuring the examination couch remains easy to clean and suitable for frequent use. The head and backrest section is gas-assisted and adjustable through a wide angle range, allowing accurate patient positioning for examinations and therapy.

Stability, Mobility and Clinical Design

The examination couch is built on a very strong and rigid steel frame, finished with an anti-bacterial powder coating. This construction provides long-term durability and excellent stability during treatment. A high safe working load makes the couch suitable for a broad patient population, including bariatric use within clinical limits.

For mobility, the examination couch is fitted with retractable castors as standard, allowing it to be repositioned easily when required. An adjustable foot enables stable levelling on uneven floors. The couch is supplied with a breathing hole and plug, and the frame is pre-drilled to allow fitting of optional accessories as clinical needs evolve.
